Annual General Meeting 2009 and Information Day in Launceston
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is to be held at the Country Club Tasmania in Launceston, on Saturday 25th July. The Agenda will start with the formal AGM will be held in the morning and will be followed by guest speakers, with discussion regarding issues facing the industry and growers. The Agenda for Sunday 26 July, will start with a field visit (by bus) to a local 3000 tree truffiere and include a workshop with guest speakers and discussion on grower issues. The AGM and information day and the Filed Visit and Workshop is open to the public for the same registration fee as members, namely $50 per person for each of the Saturday and Sunday programs. Transport for the Field Visit will be bus, leaving from the Country Club at 8:30am and an additional pick up at the Tailrace Centre, Riverview, Launceston and returning there mid morning for the workshop.
For those interested, Tim Terry has offered to host a visit to his Deloraine property on Friday 24/7 or on Monday 27/7. Please note that the visiting times are at 10:30 am or at 2:30 pm for both days and please book on the Truffles Australis website.
The AGM will be followed on Saturday night, by canapes and drinks served in the Tasman lounge area of the Country Club, ahead of a magnificent 4 course Truffle Dinner, with accompanying wines in the Terrace Restaurant. The dinner will be a riotous sampling of the best foods Tasmania has to offer and is an event not to be missed. Members are urged to book early as this event is also open to the public and numbers are limited to 110 people. The 2009 AGM Dinner Menu is also available.
Register and pay for the AGM and Information day
To register and pay for each of the AGM and Information day on the Saturday 25 July and the Field Visit and Workshop on Sunday 26 July simply select which events you would like to attend (either the AGM only, the Field Visit & Workshop only, or both the AGM and the Field Visit/Workshop) and click the “Buy Now” button to pay online, selecting the number of people attending. The payment will be handled securely by PayPal and a receipt will be issued.

Book for the Truffle Dinner
To book for the dinner, ring the Country Club Tasmania Reservations directly on (03) 6335 5777. Please note that full payment of $150.00 per person, for the dinner, is required at least one week prior to the event, but preferably at the time of booking. Members please note that numbers are limited to 110 guests, so do book early. The 2009 AGM Dinner Menu is also available.
Accommodation
Accommodation at the Country Club Tasmania, at the special Conference rate, can be booked by calling the Customer Contact Centre on 1800 139 760 and quoting the Business Block number 307653 for the $176.00 deluxe room at the Country Club Tasmania OR by quoting the Business Block number 307654 for the $129.00 one bedroom unit at the Country Club Villas.
Payment Alternatives
Please note that the Association can only accept payment for the AGM and the Field Trip/Workshop, priced at $50 per person, per day. Payments for the Truffle Dinner must be made directly to the Country Club as described above.
